My passion for getting projects done according to the goals lead me into the most recognised certification on Project Management.

I have a B.Sc. In Mechanical Power Engineering from Egypt. I have an M.Sc. In Mechanical Engineering from Italy. I'm married and have a 2 yrs old daughter.
I have 7 yrs experience in project management working in the steel industry, based in Italy and managing international multidisciplinary projects in different countries for the design and supply of steel plants machinery.

I have been working for around one year now in the company branch in China as a project management officer responsible for the operations of my division in China.

I'm firmware/software r&d engineer working in embedded system field.i work to bring secure faster and smaller products into the field .

I have started my journey with PMP-Prepcast and it really set the direction for me.

My recommendation to other students is to try practicing how to create a brain dump, if you try doing carefully believe me this will really freshen up all of concepts.

I graduated with an BS in Accounting, worked in Public Accounting 2 years and Internal Audit 8 years obtaining my certified internal audit designation CIA. Internal Audit exposed me to our entire organization.  As such, I began being placed on larger and more strategic projects. 

Over the last 15 years my job was supervising a business systems team where I facilitated many projects. I often thought about obtaining my PMP.  This past year our Health Insurance Plan merged with a much larger Insurance Plan. Prior to the merger I thought it would be a great time to upgrade my resume and obtain my PMP to go along with my CIA.

Thanks to the PM PrepCast I had it prior to becoming part of the new company.

I'm a project manager for an international manufacturing company and I work with everything from product design, procurement, supply chain, and customer relations.

To be honest, my goal in starting the PMP process was to find an inexpensive way to get my certification. In that search I found the PrePCast and I listened to the PM Prepcast on the way to and from work and read through the PMBOK. Then I used the OSP exam simulator for a couple weeks before taking the exam.

During the last week before the exam, I would recommend being familiar with your brain dump and the integrated change control processes since many questions tie back to this in one way or another.

The first thing I studied was the PMBOK Guide

I would recommend that a student take at least 1200-1400 questions in the PrepCast website and in the final week review every question that was missed and the reasons why it was missed.  This is the process that connected all of the dots for me.  If you can answer these questions correctly you can pass the real exam.

I'm currently working as an IT Project Manager in CRM/ERP domain for Averda International, a leading environmental services company based out of Dubai,UAE. In July, 2004 after completing engineering, I worked as an IT consultant in UK & India for about 6 years. In 2010,

I decided to take a break and enhance by business knowledge, hence I quit job and completed full time MBA from Cranfield University, UK. Post MBA, I relocated to UAE from UK and I joined Averda and since then I had managed several projects in CRM domain that had helped provide a competitive edge to my organization. Apart from PMP, I'm also OCP and ITIL certified.

I'm a project manager in communications, consulting/outsourcing with an additional background in healthcare and higher education. Obtaining my PMP was a sought after milestone which undoubtedly will continue to open doors. Representing the discipline of project management with the backing of a PMP is truly an honor.

I am also currently pursuing my MBA and looking forward to graduating in early 2016. Approaching both courses of study in a parallel path fashion has been exciting and helpful in applying the knowledge in the real world almost immediately.

I am a working PM in healthcare IT running implementation, migration, and optimization projects of electronic Medical Record HW and SW. I have a Masters in Managing Information Systems with a concentration in Health Informations.

The first thing I read was the PMBOK which basically ended after chapter 1. At that time I purchased “How to Pass your PMP on your First Time” and read this book hand in hand with the PMBOK each day. At the end of my studying two weeks before my exam I took practice tests with HeadFirst, Velociteach, and other resources. I was getting great scores (not timed) so I thought I was ready. I kept looking online and in book stores for more exams and would take them until finally I came across the PMP Exam Simulator and failed on my first full length test.

Hold MS. Degree in Social Sciences, AS. Degree in IT and Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

The first thing I read to get familiar with PMP is (what is the whole PMP and PMI deal is?), visited couple of blogs, some online discussions and summaries, basic information that got me hocked on this whole concept.......the first REAL reading in the field was Andy Crowe book; The PMP Exam: How to Pass On your First Try,, Fifth Edition. it is in my opinion the easiest book to get yourself familiar with the concept of PMP.

I have been managing projects for about 15 years.  I always wanted to get my PMP, but kept putting it off.  I have a pretty hectic work/home schedule with having four small kids and needed to make sure I used my study time wisely.  Having a long commute (2 hours a day), the PM Prep Cast was the perfect solution to get in more study hours when my work/home schedule wouldn't allow it.

I purchased the PM Study Coach to help give me a framework of what to study and how long it should take me.  As I went through each chapter, I became more confident in what I needed to know to be successful.  For each knowledge area I would read a chapter in the PMBOK and the corresponding chapter from Rita Mulcahy, listen to Cornelius in the car, and then answer questions from each along with questions in the PM simulator.  For the meatier knowledge areas, my goal was to complete one knowledge area per week.  Just like the coach said.

I am currently working as Senior Process Improvement Manager in the Hi-Tech industry.  I live in ON, Canada and have 12yrs of experience. I have been managing projects and programs for over 6 years now in various capacities.  Obtaining the PMP certification was my second achievement after my Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.

I began my studies for the PMP certification in May 2015 and obtained my certification in July 2015. I passed the exam on my first attempt.

I am 57 yrs.’ old. Laid off after 28 yrs. with the same company, the last 8 as a Project Manager. The company turned to Agile so I was certified CSM, however no corp. $ available for PMP cert. Now that I have it, offers for employment are coming in weekly.

What a difference having the PMP after your name. Makes all the difference in the world. My daughter is graduating from college in 1 month. I plan on having her use you guys to get her certification. What I  recommend to students is to read the PMBOK...
